EXTREME MAKEOVER

On a previous page, we urged you to start with simple, quick sketches; we'd tell you later when it was time to slow down. Coloring EXTREME MAKEOVER was such a time. Adapted from a photograph of two unsuspecting elephants at the San Diego zoo, the drawing is made up of thousands of short lines and squiggles applied with crayons and watercolor pencils. Patience was a must.

Famed sculptor Auguste Rodin's most celebrated work, called "TheThinker," is a heroic figure of a giant pondering the fate of mankind. It has been satirized frequently, including the crayon version below, made by an irreverent cartoonist with who knows what on his mind.
